My name is John Ellis, and I hold a BS in Industrial Arts from Southwest Texas State University and a Master of Education in Educational Technology Leadership from Lamar University. I’m certified in Industrial Arts for grades 6-12, Technology Applications for EC-12, Elementary Self-Contained for grades 1-8, and I also hold a Principal Certificate for EC-12.
I’ve had the privilege of teaching for eight years at Del Valle High School and seven years at Akins High School. I also worked at the Texas Education Agency (TEA) in the curriculum division for ten years as a Statewide CTE Coordinator. Additionally, I spent five years as an educational consultant, helping schools enhance their programs.
Outside of work, I enjoy camping, riding bicycles, hanging out with my grandkids, and going to baseball games. I’m also a certified forklift driver, a Roland-certified service engineer, and I hold a Form labs 3D printer technical service certification. I’m passionate about both education and technology, and I’m grateful for the experiences that have allowed me to contribute to the growth of students and educators alike.
