My name is Brenda Hull, and I hold a BS in Dance with Education Certification from Texas State University, as well as a School Management Certification from Villanova University. I’ve had a diverse and fulfilling career, teaching a variety of subjects including 1-12 Spanish, 6-12 Pre-AP Spanish, K-12 P.E., and 6-12 Dance.
In addition to my teaching experience, I’ve written curriculum for the AISD Advisory Program, owned and operated Pink Gloves Boxing for 5 years, and served as the Managing Director for Blue Lapis Light, where I secured over $300K in grants and led a successful capital campaign to fund the construction of their new studio building. I also planned gala events and raised over $150K through special events. As a certified small business owner with the City of Austin and University of Texas, I’ve worked to grow and promote small businesses. I’ve also worked as a social media content creator for Blue Lapis Light and Pink Gloves Boxing.
Previously, I taught Spanish and Dance at a public high school in Austin ISD, and I’m passionate about helping students explore the world of language and movement. Outside of work, I love trying new foods, traveling, and dancing. Fun fact: I’m a SAG card holder and appeared in a national commercial for TV and social media!
